PotPlant Creature

This is a concept painting I did for the project I'm trying to pitch with Sascha called 'Down the line'. The world in which the piece takes place is a bit skewed and surreal and this is one of the creatures that helps push that idea. It's a Pot Plant Creature that lives on the balcony of our main character. It has terracotta skin but is also mushy and has flowers growing out of its back which it waters with it's shower head tail (thank you Erin for that addition).

I found this image on a CGSociety portfolio by an artist name Erwin Madrid. I really love the lighting and imagery, it inspired me to write a different short story for an animation. Just thought i would share, :)









I want to create a story that can completely occur from a small apartment, the idea of a simple girl with something extraordinary happening to her just from the edge the world.

On a another note I finished a coloured concept piece of 'Jewels' for the Pandafolk story. It doesn't look I will get the chance produce Pandafolk for now but I'm still going to develop it on the side, it may get a chance to be made later in my career.

Animation Project 1

So first post, not sure how it's going to work yet but I've been working on a few projects and will hopefully pitch 2 of them if I am allowed. One of them is a more traditionaly narrative piece will the other will be largely expressionist and abstract. Anyway so more to come very soon.
